Saints Alive is our name for our senior adult ministry – BUT there is no age requirement. If you would enjoy the fellowship of this group and the activities they do, you are welcome!!!
The Saints Alive meet on the third Wednesday of each month (except June, July & August) at noon for a lunch and program that often centers around opportunities and ministries in our community. The menu varies each month. You are welcome to join us for a delicious meal, great fellowship and a good opportunity to connect with others.
In addition to the monthly fellowship, the Saints Alive group is active throughout the year with fellowships and special activities. During the month of May we have Senior Adult Month with our annual outdoor Breakfast in the Park and Saints Alive Sunday in which our Saints Alive plan and lead worship.
Our group takes two weeklong trips each year to the Myrtle Beach area. Our Saints Alive Beach Retreats are held the first week of May and again in early October. During these trips we enjoy seafood, shopping, special excursions or shows, and plenty of time to relax by the ocean. During each retreat we have a morning Bible study on a variety of interesting topics.
In the Fall, we observe All Saints Sunday by leading the church in reaching out to our Homebound and Care Facility members. We collect greeting cards and make special visits to deliver them.
We end each year of programing with a special Saints Alive Christmas Banquet held in the Blanton Ministry Center with a catered meal and special Christmas Entertainment.
Throughout the year, we plan a variety of day trips that center around spiritual opportunities, food and fellowship, and good old-fashioned fun. To find out more about these trips, check out the church newsletter or Facebook page.
Our group is quite active and open to all who wish to share fellowship, fun and excitement with others. We invite you to join us as we live out God’s call to be a loving community centered on both personal enjoyment and spiritual fulfillment.
